Dr Brian McKenna D.Prof (Ost). BSc (Hons) Ost. FSCCO (Hon). PGcACE.. is an osteopath and medical acupuncturist. He qualified from the University College of Osteopathy (UCO), formerly the British School of Osteopathy, over 20 years ago. He is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council, a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS). He is also an honorary fellow of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy. (SCCO). He returned to the UCO after entering practice to undertake his teacher training and then again to undertake his Doctorate in Osteopathy.
He is the former principle and CEO of the London College of Osteopathic Medicine and was appointed as the welsh representative to the General Osteopathic Council from 2009 to 2015 (the body that regulates osteopathy in the UK). He has taught Osteopathy at Swansea University and at The College of Osteopaths at the University of Staffordshire.
He has written for both osteopathic and nursing professional journals and lectured on many subjects, including osteopathy, paediatric osteopathy, osteopathic technique, cranial osteopathy, and clinical audit at both undergraduate and post graduate level. He has also published research on cranial osteopathy.
His main interests are in the fields of research, education, back pain, shoulder dysfunction, & cranial osteopathy. Brian works in both the Cardiff and Newport clinics.
Louise Cooke LLb. BSc (Hons) Ost, FSCCO. is an osteopath and medical acupuncturist. She qualified from the University College of Osteopathy over 20 years ago. she is also a graduate of Aberystwyth University. She is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council, is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, the Sutherland Society (Cranial Osteopathy) and the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS)
Louise became a fellow of The Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy after having completed her post graduate training in Cranial Osteopathy. She has also had postgraduate training in Paediatric Osteopathy and the care of expectant mothers. She has a special interest in the care of the elderly.
Louise is an Associated Practitioner for Arthritis Action, the charity is dedicated to helping people with arthritis enjoy a more active life with less pain. Arthritis Action will subsidise 2 advice/treatment sessions for Charity members. Louise works in both the Cardiff and Penarth clinics.
Louise Prosser M.Ost. Is a fully qualified and registered osteopath and medical acupuncturist. She is a graduate of Swansea University where she obtained a master’s degree in osteopathy. Louise is fully registered with the GOsC and is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) Before studying osteopathy Louise worked as a beauty and holistic therapist and a level 4 sport therapist for a division 1 rugby team and the boys club of wales under 16’s rugby team. Louise treats all kinds of musculoskeletal problems including low back pain. she intends to further her understanding of the treatment of children with special needs, expectant mothers and medical acupuncture.
Louise works at both the Cardiff and Newport clinics.
Talia Gould M.Ost is a fully qualified and registered Osteopath. She graduated from Swansea university with a first class masters degree in osteopathy. She is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of The Institute of Osteopathy.
Talia’s interest in Osteopathy was first sparked during her time as a competitive Welsh Rower, she visited an osteopath for an injury and was intrigued by the profession and what it has to offer. Talia has a passion for helping others and enjoys treating a variety of patients with musculoskeletal problems. She also supports local Rugby teams with osteopathic treatment and first aid every week.
